Human Performance Lab
The Human Performance Lab is a comprehensive fitness testing and consultation facility that is staffed by student technicians under the supervision of a professional exercise specialist. We are here for your fitness testing needs and one-on-one consulting. Every current GSPE 210 student is welcome to use the HPL at no cost. The HPL techs are available daily for your fitness needs.

The HPL is a clinical learning environment for students taking HLTH 390. The clinical lab experience is great for any student following any career in a health, wellness, or allied health field.

Human Performance Lab Director
Dr. Jessica Graham, NSCA-CPT
Dr. Graham is a Shepherd alumni, graduated as a McMurran scholar. She received her MS in Strategic Leadership in 2004 and completed her MBA in December 2017. Graham came to Shepherd in 2014 after 14 years in patient care, specializing in program development, post-therapy training, cardiac rehabilitation, corporate wellness, and employee wellness. She is an avid runner, having completed 6 full marathons and 13 half marathons and enjoys a great workout! Dr. Graham earned her doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership, with an emphasis on worksite health promotion programming and the evaluation process.
